I sat upon a rivers edge pondering through the past Cold and icy snow covered wondering how long it would last. Things long gone and things to come are the topics on my mind Looking over my left shoulder hoping someone will be that kind. We shared many things like hopes and dreams all now behind me The time is coming and very soon together again we will be. Will you welcome me to lay beside you with all that I have done? For all I did was done for love and without you there is none. If I had one chance to wind back time would I choose another way Time would tell but times run out for thoughts of one more day. For those that remain to continue onward my advice to you Live each day with a new heart teaching this to your children too. I could tell you things I have learned to help you of honor and of creed The real question is if knowing these things you would take heed. Good things and bad things happen that in life is true Now I will never know if you would have changed if only you knew. Each day is a precious gift and one to live fulfilled My dearest one once that day is done changing it can’t be willed.
