I saw something really offensive and disturbing this evening - a hoax article on South African Web site Lifestyle Tabloids, about an alleged inaugural child rape festival in Uganda. This is presumably intended to be satire - it fails dismally - and is possibly intended to bring Uganda into further disrepute after their recent inhumane anti-gay legislation. I believe it does the cause a disservice, by creating a fake, highly emotional, situation that distracts from the real issue. If you see it on somebodys page, PLEASE DO NOT SHARE. You will only encourage bigotry and distract from an important cause.
