I searched for a good Baked Hamburger recipe, since I remembered that my mother-in-law had went on a diabetic diet and lost 80 pounds by baking or broiling all her meats. I combined 3 different recipes and came up with the one I used. Thankfully, I am not diabetic, but I knew that it would be healthier to bake or broil any red meats that I do eat. When they cooled, I wrapped each individually, then put them in a freezer bag and froze them. They tasted very good, so here is my recipe. Baked Hamburgers 3 pounds ground beef 1 small onion, chopped 1/2 sleeve dry crushed crackers 1/3 cup water 1 1/2 teaspoons sea salt, plus more for lining the pan 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, or more to taste 1/2 pkg Lipton Onion Soup mix 2 Tbsp Weber Gourmet Hamburger seasoning 1 tsp garlic powder Preheat oven to 400 Using slotted broiling pan, lift off slotted top and sprinkle salt over the pan under it to make cleanup easy. Spray slotted top with olive oil (you really need 2 broiling pans) I used the same one to bake them in 2 batches. put all dry ingredients in bowl, then add water and Worcestershire sauce and mix well add hamburger and using hands, thoroughly mix with the other ingredients. separate 3 equal portions, then take a portion and separate it into 1/4ths patty the 1/4ths and place on roasting pan. Take 2nd portion and do the same, then the 3rd portion. You will need a 2nd pan for the 3rd portion. makes 12 burgers. Bake 20 - 30 minutes, depending on how well done you like them.
