I see in the Trib today that the Security Hospital is going to - TopicsExpress

I see in the Trib today that the Security Hospital is going to have a family advisory council. Seems it is run too much like a prison. To the contrary, it is a hospital, not a prison by legal definition. The clients already have the long held right to refuse certain meds and to throw near boiling water in the faces of the staff. Meanwhile the staff has no recourse in terms of self defense. Perhaps what they should be doing is, indeed, running it more like a prison. Lets not forget that some of these folks are incarcerated for things such as murder and raping children and babies. Why would society create yet another committee to make sure they manage their own care and are treated better? The same society needs to be responsible enough to empower the employees of that facility to go home to their families intact at the end of their shift.
