I start my new job tomorrow guys ! Yip, believe it or not - I haven’t gone in to Further Education just for a skive... I actually want to work too and fund myself too ! :P (Still doing homers btw !) Im starting as the Vice President of Dundee & Angus College Gardyne Campus… which is a bit mental and a bit different from sparkying for 15 years but I’m gonna give it my best shot. This is my candidate statement that got me the job for anyone who can be arsed reading it all lol…so if I fall short at the end of the year - you can all hold me bang to rights ! ;) VICE PRESIDENT CANDIDATE On entering in to Further Education as a mature student - which was a daunting challenge - I have received lots of support from everyone at Dundee and Angus College. The staff, my class mates and fellow students have been really supportive in helping me through my course - and as Vice President - I would be working to encourage more of the same and improving college life for everyone in any way I can. I would like to think I have developed good relationships with the staff and students at the college since taking the plunge in to Further Education - and as Vice President – I would work to encourage students and staff to continue working closely together which benefits everyone at the college. I would also like to think of myself as friendly and approachable to anyone and always have time to listen to and help people in any way I can. Understanding the difficulties some people face in just coming to college, I would work hard to encourage the same support I have received in making college life a more accessible, enjoyable and relaxed experience for everyone – with the support there when needed. At the moment I am keenly involved in helping with the Students Association and other groups at the college. It would be great to develop this experience by representing the college as Vice President - helping to improve what is already a great college – especially for those who may need that little extra support. P.S. Did I mention I still do homers ! Got my C&G 2391 Inspection and Testing and ahin !! ;) Nae fun being a student in the summer :( lol
