I start my student teaching assignment tomorrow. On Friday I was informed that there was a change of plans and that I will be teaching Math instead of Social Studies. Now I dont think that its any secret that Math and I have not been the best of friends over the years, and that Im probably not the best person to be teaching it right now. However, sometimes life gives you a challenge that you cant run from and you must find a way to conquer it. Regardless of the outcome the challenge of teaching math this semester will make me a better teacher and a better person. I already believe that I could be a good Social Studies teacher, now I will get to find out if being a Math teacher is a possibility for me in the future.
