I tear up every time I hear this song. There are so many kids in this world who dont know what its like to feel safe, protected and loved. The ones that are suppose to love and protect them are the ones who scare and harm them the most. I am truly blessed to have my little girl in my life. Skylar has an amazing daddy who will always love her and who will always protect her even when she may not realize it. She has so many people in her life that would give everything for her. From her grandparents to her aunts and uncles to her great aunts and uncles and even her great great aunts and uncles. Its sad that some kids never have one person to protect and love them. The whole time Im writing this I cant help but think of the little 3 year old Scotty McMillan who was tortured and killed by his mother earlier this month. There are so many people who would love to have a family of their own and cant but we have parents doing this to their kids. We have parents leaving their babies out on the street to die when there is someone out there who would love to have a little one to call them mom and dad. Today I am truly blessed for what God has given me. I will always love, protect and cherish every minute I have with my little Skylar.
