I think in our dawah programs we are often not bringing Allah azza wa jall in the central stage. Too much stress is being given directly to things leading up to him but which stops short of reaching Him. It feels like we want people to love His law, creation, wisdom, revelation without having an explicit emotional attachment to Him, knowing Him. It seems like we are subconsciously more affected by a secular reality more than we might have thought. Hence the need to justify everything with a pseudo-secular self sustaining approach where superiority is superimposed in a secular scale using religious rhetoric. The place for Allah here is often secondary. The purpose of jurisprudence, ethics, Halal eating, Hijaab etc have become a symbol of self-identity more than Godliness. This should change. Everything should be brought back to where it is meant for at the first place - worshiping Allah. This in turn should go back to knowing and recognizing Allah.
