I think the people who make decisions for us and about us should have to visit at least 3 schools a year (and not only the best schools) and demonstrate a lesson for us, with our students. Let us take notes and critique them. If they want to tell us what we are doing wrong they better be able to do our jobs. That goes for board members, because the only current board member I think could actually do it would be Marilyn Roman. That goes for Dr. Lyles and all her little chiefs. Also our administrators. Any good administrator could do it with ease as they would know the children and were teachers for many years. Some administrators were barely teachers, never cut it as a teacher (yes its a small district we know) and dont even know the students because they only leave their offices to degrade staff. I think that should be put in their contract not merit or bonus pay for just showing up to work.
