I want to let you know about a very UNPLEASANT experience my wife and I had at Deanies Seafood in New Orleans this evening. We arrives at 6:15 PM and were told it would be a 25 - 30 minute wait for a table. No big problem there, but at 7:00 (45 minutes later) my wife checked with the receptionists as our beeper had not gone off. Upon checking, the receptionist noted that our pager had been passed by about 8 other people and we were well up the list of those who had been seated. She seated us immediately. Once seated, we waited another 15 minutes before I stopped a waitress and asked who our server was. She said she was our server. In that our waiting had been delayed by 30 minutes, I asked if she could rush our order as we had a deadline to get back to our car, which was fast approaching. If the 30 minuted delay had not occurred, there would have been no problem. The server told us, with somewhat of a attitude, that she only serves the food and had no control over how fast it could be prepared. With this remark, we departed!! This experience set a bad taste in what had been, up to this point, a very nice vacation and visit to New Orleans
