I want to post something humorous today but I found out a friend and former co-worker, Jose Fernandez from CBS Radio died last night in a car accident. I had the pleasure of training him for a few days on how to board op for the AM side which consisted of us sharing Doritos and talking about how we would defile Veronica from the QYK morning show in between pressing a button or sliding a slider up and down every 8 minutes. He was funny. He was always smiling. He was a big man so he ate most of the Doritos. Later when Id take over his Sunday shift on the FM side (our careers were skyrocketing) Id be late sometimes but he never questioned it or complained. He was understanding before it was even necessary. We were not good friends but thats only because there was no time. Speaking of no time. At no time should you text and drive. Someones careless action deprived the world of someone whose actions always seemed to care. RIP Jose Fernandez
