I was a huge Bill Cosby fan, mainly because of I SPY. But.... I applaud Jud Apatow for saying what is now obvious since 33 plus women have come forward from four decades of history. There is a syndrome (theres a name for it, let us know if you know it) for people who become big community heroes in order to commit awful crimes. The classic example is the local hero fireman who turns out to be an arsonist. Often people who project awesomely great images of themselves do so to cover up their equally terrible deeds. We all should be aware of this. Recently, we have an old interview of Cosby talking about how awesome the idea of Spanish Fly would be with Larry King (as well as his comedy routine about this on a comedy album). He actually says every 10-year-old boy dreamed of this. I dont know ANY person at all who ever dreamed about this. And, obviously, 33 people are specifying dates on which this happened to them and that means 33 chances for Bill Cosby to say this could not have happened because I was not there are being passed on my Cosby. No. So listen to Jud Apatow, who is absolutely right about this. It aint a racial thing. (But I hate, hate, the way it makes me look back. Dr. Huxtable... was an obstetrician.)
