I was able to be a great testimony for the cleft lip/cleft palate babies yesterday at the dentist office when I took cam in for his apt with the dentist to start our next steps! Its such a great feeling to be able to look at these 2 month, 6 weeks, and 3 month old babies with cleft lip/palate and see the appliance in their mouth and the tape on their face just like cam had and then cam be there so they could see the progress! I was once that mom in their shoes and I know my dear friend Taryn Kinder Matthews can back me on this!! She was there with me through it all while joey was in the field and in Iraq and her and Taryn and I were making many 6 hour round trips to Augusta, Ga for treatment So glad I got to talk to those moms! We are on to our next steps now which will be another appliance in his mouth to expand his palate then he has got to have many teeth extracted and then surgery taking bone out of his hip and put in his mouth Its quite the journey but cam always is in good spirits about it!!
