I was at a pub in Tbilisi Saturday night chatting with an American friend from South Carolina when a drunk African came up and asked us where we were from. Because she was black, he kept saying, No, no, you are African! Where is your MOTHER from? When I tried to assert that she was just as American as me, he told to me to be quiet because he didnt want to talk to me because everything my people have done.
