I was born in the 90s but i believe on what the oldies saying that Pres. Ferdinand Marcos wasnt a dictator but a Disciplinarian President :) During his time, the ECONOMY was very good (less POVERTY because PILIPINOS were all INDUSTRIOUS & DISCIPLINED during those times).. During MARCOS administration there were so many built infrastructure, Roads, bridges, schools, hospitals ,LRT , MRT(funded/started project,DIScontinued by CORY-continued by Ramos), CCP, Batasang Pambansa, Coconut Palace, the MANILA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT--- that CORY change to NINOY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT... .. ...We had the MIRACLE rice that the PHILIPPINES export rice at that time, we had the green revolution. water system was not a problem at that time--- We were not using bottled water at that time ,,,how come that there was less epidemic during those days .And also during MARCOS era ,municipal health doctors, nurses, midwives, went to all to the different schools and went house to house to give vaccinations to prevent EPIDEMICS at that time…NOW-ADAYS, even some public hospitals are now Privatized. Most Filipinos nowadays are so problematic when it comes to hospital fees and expenses. Many projects done by Marcos are still useful nowadays. In addition, the Peso-Dollar exchange rate before was equal as 1 Peso to 1 US Dollar. Theres no other Philippine president can beat his number of projects and its succession. After his administration, NAWASA, MERALCO, MRT, LRT and other big institutions were turned from government to PRIVATE corporations. Expenses and bills are higher which most of the filipinos cannot afford. Rich people are become richer while Poor people become poorer. How great the Philippines before compare today? :)
