I was cleaning out my inbox, listening to some fav, bookmarked, tunes, when I came across this saved Facebook posting of Shelia Randalls, the song Forever Young was playing, and I cried. It felt good to cry, I wish I had cried more often back when I never did, when Big Boys Didn’t Cry, not even 10 CC worth in a year. Here is Shelia’s last posting, and the song, Forever Young…. and please have no Fear of Tears. https://youtube/watch?v=RHIIATt0BaM&feature=related Well, I just remembered that it was 16 years ago that I had gender reassignment surgery. I guess the proper term now is gender alignment surgery. As I have often said, I wish my former spouse and I could have made it work. Unfortunately, few marriages do continue. Despite that, I consider myself very fortunate, dare I say, privileged. My family and I are still very close. I have a good relationship with my son. In another post, I think I mentioned that he called me and told me about a session, in a work related conference, that focused on trans related issues. It sounded like he had a deeper understanding and appreciation that being trans is not a choice. He is 26 and I am so proud of him. He is working for Wells Forgo in the mortgage underwriting department. He is going to night school to finish his finance degree. He majored in his fraternity during the first go round. [?]. Well, heres to another year! I love this group and the space we have created. Love you all.
