I was eating a typical American diet of fast food, meat and potatoes, processed sugars, frozen canned, dried, fried, over processed chemically enhanced foods. As a result I ATE almost constantly in an attempt to gain nutrition that was lacking in my food. I got FAT FAT FAT! worse yet I became sick, borderline type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, headaches, and arthritis so inflamed in my joints I could hardly move. Depression went hand in hand with the physical woes. Scoff if you must, but back in May I began juicing. I went on a 12 day green juice fast. Within 24 hours I had so much energy I though I would bounce right out of my skin. Within 4 days my arthritis pain was gone. I had been fighting an inflamed torn rotator cuff for close to a year...the pain was so bad I had all but lost the use of that arm. Yup Within 7 days the pain was gone. POOF...NO inflammation! Side benefit? I have lost 58 pounds as well. My mood is MAJORLY improved as well. Now I do not advocate this for everyone. Peoples nutritional needs differ. But I figure I must have been pretty malnourished to see such extreme results in so short a time. For me it works. I will NEVER go back to the crap diet I used to stuff down my gullet. I like being pain free too much. Do I have the occasional pizza, a soda fronm time to time? Even ribs or a steak? Yup. IN MODERATION! Juicing is my main food source, but I am NOT dead...lol. The thing is, you need to get OFF the usless processed foods and get the good stuff in. You really CAN be FAT and malnourished! I am proof of that!
