I was going to wait until Monday but John and I talked. We have been informed of a few things which leaves us with difficult choices to make. 1. That we are sharing share4share requests unethically, and possibly are even scammers because of how we share them and may have missed a few. So Ive got 120 more likes to rapidly flood everyone with to do it right 2. That by using open domain images that someone else may have used at some point is stealing. IT ISNT according to the law but again..we dont want our personal reputations trashed. The amount of time it will take us to source every open domain picture we use to its very starting point on the net and crediting everyone who ever used it will take an astronomical amount of time. (We use an open domain site run by someone we know and trust but an allegation is an allegation). 3. We got a private complaint that using quotes is plagerism. It is NOT. It is not a violation of the law since the person is credited. So we have very few options since we do care about our reputations. Employers and such often check fb and we dont need the headache of allegations - even made by people who dont know the laws surrounding copyrights, open domain/public domain material or the legal use of the term scam. 1. We just close the page down. Its the easiest. 2. We change the mission of the page to just be about Midnight and her brothers, and shut down posts to page to end share for share requests, and delete ones placed elsewhere. 3. We post only a few times a month about our cats, dont share other pages, and spend the days it takes to investigate the copyright status of any image or quote we might want to share or reshare. 4. We keep things as they are and hope no one gets mad and complains. What do you, our friends, want to see happen with this page?
