I was going to work Thanksgiving and Christmas so I would get paid holiday pay,but when I told my kids we would celebrate these days on my closest days off to the actual holiday,they got really upset,which surprised me cuz we have never really been into the holidays.They told me they wanted me home on these special days.Last nite,I requested both holidays off,even though I will lose the holiday pay.I figure time with my kids is more important than xtra money,at least in their eyes.Now,what to cook?We r not big turkey or ham eaters.Maybe my sis can come down and spend the day with us at our new house!Here is to family,big or small.I hope everyone has a blessed day.
