I was just speaking with the Kim Sharpe representative who came out to give me signs to put on my yard. We had a great conversation about Greenlight Pinellas. Pretty much the outcome was, either you believe that an increase in transit will progress our County and is worth the investment, or you do not believe that PSTA will meet their promises and it is a waste of your 1%. Everyone has the right to their opinion. That is why we vote. I believe that it IS an investment, and I believe it WILL help Pinellas Countys residents and will improve their quality of life, AS WELL AS produce more income for businesses in Pinellas county, creating more jobs and more cash flow. Anyone can come forward and say that they do not believe that it will work, or that PSTA is not a good leader in business, or that transit will just congest our city more. I have an answer to all of that. I believe it will work, as a born and raised San Franciscan. I believe PSTA has done the best they can within the limits of their constraints. I believe that the transit will relieve traffic congestion, reduce pollution, and add years to our road systems. We cant keep building wider roads. We need an answer. THIS IS OUR ANSWER. We ALL know what No Tax for Tracks and Greenlight believe. But what do YOU believe?
