I was on the phone with my Brazilian friend Rose here... I asked her to help me test the little green and cream colored, used, 4-thread Serger type of a sewing machine that is pictured below here (you can see it if you expand and look at all the comments below by the other sewing machines). As you may already know, I bought it to send to my Tailor friend in Ormoc city Leyte Philippines when I get it... along with the other sewing machines... its cute... LOL :p I can thread and use a single-needle or twin-needle machine... but a 4-thread Serger is a way more complex little beast, and its laid out completely different than a normal sewing machine. Rose is a great Seamstress herself, and has used even 6-thread Sergers before, if I remember correctly, so shes the expert on Serging, not me! Im just the all-around Tinker, Mr. Fix-it Man, and Mechanical Genius type, but not a specialist in the operation of sewing machines... LOL :p. I am also looking forward to spending a day at her house to catch up on whats going on in her life as we talk a while too, and I will even service her own 3 or 4 machines with sewing machine oil and white lithium grease for her for free, too... just to keep them from getting gunked-up and running smooth, without having any bearing surfaces or moving parts on her machines getting all scored and galled as lubricants like oil and grease prevent the parts from damaging each other, so as to to prevent metal on metal damage that occurs when no lubricants are coating the metal parts. It should be a good day spent together but will wait until after I get paid and receive that green Serger anyway, on whatever day is convenient for her. I am so looking forward to it... just even to spend some time with a dear friend, firstly, but also to learn something new from her. I will give her ample gas money too, for driving me and the Serger to and from her house. It should be a great day spent with a great friend. I am so happy that I will get to visit her again... we havent gotten together in over 3 or 4 months or more. :-)
