I was talking to students today and invited them to calculus and physics, but they told me that they do not need any of them for their majors! So I lecture them back about so many exciting careers that they can have for which physics and calculus are irrelevant. For instance, Chicken Coop Interior Decorator. This is a very important career because you would like to have your chicken coup up PETA standards. Imagine the money making opportunities, it is a virgin market out there. Another money making career where calculus and physics are not necessary is Chicken Coop Conflict Resolution Specialist. There is a world out there of job opportunities in this field. See I have two roosters who have a bad blood among themselves, there is no way of preventing them for fighting. Not even in the Angies List I could find a counselor to talk to my roosters and convince them that fighting is not a good trait of character. This is a good field for can-we-all-get-along liberals. And do not forget also community organizer. See you do not need physics nor calculus for that and you can get very far in that field with a minimum of qualifications. Look at the great leader! Do you think that he knows derivatives?..line integrals?...triple integrals?....differentials? and see how far he has gone! Sad thing is that for those who do not take calculus nor physics and do not make it, but knock out children anyway, my students who do take calculus and physics and differential equations will be paying for their leisure lifestyle, their food stamps, their apartments and much more!
