I was thinking about the many acts of kindness I have been shown over the years. As a young broke single mother of three I was often the recipient of random kindness. ♡♡♡ When the children were 3, 5 and 8 we ran out of gas on a road trip in the middle of nowhere in Utah (Before GPS and cell phones) The kids and I had to sleep in the car. In the morning a farmer found us. He filled my tank and we had breakfast with their family. On a trip to Florida for Easter my purse was stolen out of my shopping cart while I chased a toddler through a Walmart. I was left without my wallet (which had my I.D.) and not a dime. I was 5 hours from home with just my 3 babies. A group of people at Walmart bought the kids lunch and filled my tank and purchased their Easter treats I had in my cart. I had to drive home without a license but we got home and I was so touched by the kindness! 2 years in a row my children had Santa show up with the most amazing Christmas. One of those years I had $50 to spend and the boys wanted everything Lego. They got bikes, Lego sets, scooters and clothing, Grace got a doll and a nursery for her doll along with clothing dropped off by a secret Santa that year. I picked my children up from daycare one night after a full day of school and cleaning houses to find hot pizza at my door. I never figured that one out. When the kids were really little I would look in the paper for free fun things to do on Saturdays. We found a little local small town fair. I figured we wouldnt go on rides but we could go see the animals. When we got there we found out you had to pay to get in. I had packed lunch because my budget was for fuel only that day. The kids were crying when I told them we couldnt go in. A lady approached us when we were leaving and asked me if she could please purchase our passes to the fair! I seriously could name so many times strangers have become a hero to me. Maybe its my crazy free spirit that is always getting into trouble but I thank the heroes of our planet! I am so thankful for the beautiful life I have now. Happy Holidays
