I was to write next on importance of mentors but some response I got triggered me to write this. I know a whole lotta people would hate me for putting up this post but that doesnt stop me from saying the truth. Well Im not wasting time because Im going right way to the points. This post is mainly for the Christians. Today, most people has turn spirituality to stupidity. Im not saying that there is no spirituality but Im saying that when you see spirituality even in the unnecessary, then its total STUPIDITY! Now before you poke my eyes off, let me explain. First, In africa mainly, Majority of us attributes everything that happens to us to the spiritual. we are so used to calling the devil that we now accuse the devil of what we have caused by our hands. Forgetting that there is a consequence for whatever we do, when this consequences comes our way, we say its the devils hand doing. What we do not know is the devil never operates on a life he has no permission on and that permission could be granted by you or your ways. More so, some of us are so used to accusing the devil and attributing all things to spirituality that even when a mere mice is seen in the house, we shout and say THE DEVIL HAS COME AGAIN! (Haba! Na wetin devil do u?) Now the most interesting part is that some people abuse spirituality or I should say mainly Christianity, and act as if we are the holiest people on earth! Example, you are asked Which thing do you know you cant do without? And you say GOD. Dont be stupid. Is God a thing? Why not say bible (even this is not a thing) since you want to be so spiritual. You are asked Who is you mentor? You say God. Is God human? Can you see God? What happened to your pastor? Since you want to be religious. Someone asks a question is masturbation a sin? And you reply Children of darkness! Signs of end time! Hell is really! Repent! Is that how to win a soul? Why not put the person through and answer the question? Now here is the thrill, I know someone back in school who would put food on fire and start praying for hours. The food would get burnt until we (hostel mates) finally notice and help him drop it (Abeg na im pray pass?). This same person, during exam periods never read. He would go about preaching and praying and when exam comes, he fails woefully! This is total abuse of Christianity! Even the bible makes us understand that there is time for everything. Work to get. Speaking in tongues would never write your exams for you, nor give you food. We should learn to do the right things at the right time. Stop seeing things spiritual where unnecessary. Stop being over religious. Stop putting on holier than thou attitude. No man is righteous.... There is no one without sin. I will stop here.....
