I was trying to think of who deserved the biggest thanks for the summer of 14 and I think that ASD deserves it. Now before you come to my house with pitchforks and burning stakes please allow me to elaborate. The adage You dont know what youve got until its gone fit perfectly this summer. When Mr DeMoulas was fired by ASD and the other MB execs walked out we definitely understood how good we had it with them in charge. I sincerely hope none of us take them for granted ever again. To go along with the firing of Mr D, ASD appointed not one but TWO inept CEOs to take his place. Everything that Mr D is to us they were the opposite. He is compassionate, he listens to us, he NEVER threatens our careers, he is sincere. ASD is all about the flashy lifestyle and the $$$$$. If not for his greed he could have maintained his control over the Board and just continued to be a pain in the ass for years to come. But his love of money thankfully outweighed his willingness to be a PITA. He took the payout, he is gone for good. So thank you ASD for being a greedy, short-sighted, ignorant fool who could not co-exist with the polar opposite cousin who WE refused to exist without. Heres to closing the very long chapter on ASD and his side and beginning 2015 with a clean slate and never having to look over our shoulders again, whether associates, customers or vendors. Now we all know where we stand and there was never a stronger foundation to stand upon. MBStrong!
