I was walking by my local lycée (high school) this morning, and according to the bulletin that my local city hall sent out, one-third of the 17 year olds in France smoke. (Which was evident this morning.) Since cigarettes cost about €7,5 per pack in France, figure thats around €3 per day x 30 days = €100. Question: Since few teenagers in Paris seem to have after-school or weekend jobs, where are they getting that €100/month? (Perhaps allowances have changed in the last few decades? - I think mine was something like $5!)
