I will just post here what I said about Frenchie the day after she crossed. Her service was yesterday. It was wierd going back to work and her not being there barking at me and demanding for breakfast. I miss her sooo much. Here is what I wrote the day after she crossed: These are not the kind of posts I like to make. Today we helped French Hen over the rainbow bridge. Yesterday was really hot and we thought that she just got a little over heated, so she got some fluids and spent the night at HQ where she could be monitored. Today she still didnt seem right so a blood draw and Xrays were done. Her bloodwork was off and from her Xray Dr. Mike thought that she had a tumor on her spleen. A ultrasound comfirmed that she did. Also she had slow internal bleeding. With Frenchie being 16, surgery did not seem like a fair option. So we made the difficult decision to cross her. Frenchie was an amazing old lady and she made me smile and laugh on a daily basis. She was always so bossy with other dogs, it was often difficult to find her new friends. She always loved walking down to HQ to get cookies. She would trudge down as quickly as she could never stopping. When we had to go back to the Octagon she would put on the breaks and act like she was unable to walk. I would have to lure her the entire way back with a cookie if I didnt hold a cookie out for her she would stop and not budge until I held another cookie out to her. She was loved by all who had the opportunitiy to meet her. We will miss her stubborness, her sass, her bark, her gentle spirit, and her love. RIP my sweet old lady, I will remember you always.
