I wish education policy makers would realize this and stop - TopicsExpress

I wish education policy makers would realize this and stop transposing parental responsibilities upon teachers. Further, principals and superintendents need to exercise the backbone to oppose what are at best spurious overbearing pedagogical practices. These fascistic policies (particularly in Florida), cloaked in sheepish garb, yet are aimed squarely at educators with the ferocity of doublethink philosophy (a la Orwells 1984) as if we are the primary cause of Americas decline in literacy and math. I did not force a parent to fail to realize that ratchet culture is a healthy worldview that promotes and engenders intrinsic motivation to educate ones self, as well as having a strong moral core based on the axioms of what it means to be human. As a public educator, I bear only the guilt of when I fell asleep trying to keep up with my redundant workload heaped upon me by my county, on top of a near decade of no pay raise. And what little raises we have finally received are parlayed with impunity, while painting the contesting teacher unions as radicals against quality education. Its insidiously wicked what is happening to teachers! Outside of this, I will be dedicated to doing what is best for children, which includes redirecting fallacious arguments by anyone that I should do what actually belongs in the hands of the mother and the father (or guardian) of their child. Education actually starts, is bolstered and culminates in the home.
