I would just like to commend and thank from the bottom my heart the monroe police chief and his officers for constantly patrolling the garden district all night long. I have been sitting on my front porch since dark (on and off...since my back porch has been demolished) and have seen numerous officers around the clock go down my street with their lights on. I just flagged one down and told him I was a single homeowner and thanked him so much and asked if they would be doing this all night? His reply was we will be doing this until the lights come back on and if you need us, give us a call.
