I would love to see urban rail, but the proposal favored by the city, the transit department and Project Connect doesnt make any sense. Why would you spend over $1billion of our tax dollars (generated through major property tax rate hikes) in a corridor that doesnt already have congestion and would likely see low ridership, but not consider it being placed in an area that actually needs traffic relief? Like the article says, The first investment will need to pay for other expansions.” Im with the pro-rail folks who are rejecting this plan.
