IF I were the postal union I swear Id take out a full one minute ad during the Superbowl to explain to the public that The PO is being deliberately driven into the ground by politicians with an agenda. What is that agenda? A) To privatize it, making some of their buddies rich. B) To grab the pension fund money, and C) the icing on the cake, to then spin it into blaming the whole thing on greedy unions after the fact. the PO has had a requirement put on it that no other public or private business could ever possibly survive (prefunding 75 years of retiree healthcare) Also, the public needs to know that the PO supports itself and doesnt get a dime of taxpayer money. Another important point to mention is that the PO is REQUIRED in the Constitution.
