IF YOU LOSE POWER: - If youve lost power on Joint Base Lewis-McChord, report the location of your outage to JBLM Public Works at (253) 967-3131 (option 2). - Unplug refrigerators, freezers, and any other device that may require a surge of power to restart when electricity is restored - this will help prevent getting your power back, only to lose it again because the system was overloaded by the spike in demand caused by all the refrigerators in your neighborhood coming back onto the grid at one time. - Be patient! We expect multiple outages, with multiple causes, are possible throughout the evening. Our JBLM crews and those at other area utilities will all be doing our best to identify the cause of any issues, and fix what we can - as quickly as were able to.
