IK is pacing the top of his container looking like a man who knows - TopicsExpress

IK is pacing the top of his container looking like a man who knows he has just lost the game. Parliament came good, some memorable moments there, and NS needs to listen carefully to the advice that parliament has given him. After all, that is what he said he wanted when he convened the session. The gvt now needs to get sorted out as to how clean up/out the mess and D Chowk and in Constitution Avenue and start repairing the damage that has been done, which I believe to be considerable at many levels and not least to NS, IK and Dr Q none of whom emerge wreathed in laurels from this. The future for IK must look particularly cloudy. The sad irony is that he cause was probably just. People are sick to death of the corruption and rotten politicians...but IK lacked the political maturity to turn right into real might...as in political and social traction that translated then to being a grassroots movement. Millions will have shared his sentiments, fewer are going to still be there when the end comes. Dr Qadri will have established himself firmly at the point of a historical footnote and little more. NS is going to live to fight another day but weaker, and with the military looking over his shoulder all the time if not actually guiding his pen. He screwed it up at the end of the day. Unscrewing it is going to be tricky but doable. He might start by giving a call to Aitzaz Ahsan who delivered some mighty blows today (conveniently overlooking past PPP failures but we will pass on that for now) and came close to delivering an impression of statesmanship - which none of the other players have come close to so far. Over to you my FB friends...
