IMOPRTANT NOTICES TO MY PPU Dear All, My attention has been - TopicsExpress

IMOPRTANT NOTICES TO MY PPU Dear All, My attention has been drawn to some misguided and uninformed positions on the above subject. I am using this message to put the record straight. Any non graduating student who have been up to date in the messages (by text and emails) relating to the above will know that DLC had made efforts at informing all those affected on the situation of things relating thereto. In the past two weeks there were four such messages. The last was on Monday in respect of the purported issuance of To Whom It May Concern in respect of unprocessed/yet to be approved results by a Department. The last of over ten meetings to consider the results held on Tuesday with no final results from the Departments for consideration by DLC Board of Examiners. In a situation when it was obvious that the results were not ready in a presentable form, there was nothing that the Board could do than to allow more time more so in a situation where the Departments were doing everything possible to get it behind them. As a matter of fact, and in fairness to the Departments, DLC Management was informed that the results were not ready for consideration but we had to insist that the meeting should proceed. It held and the Departments were ably represented even by the head in one of the Departments. In this circumstance and given that the Departments are responsible for the computation of results, there was nothing the Board could do than to allow more time which will not be long. I need to point out that, although the results were unduly delayed but in fairness to the affected Departments, they had to contend with many unusual situations arising mainly from the mistakes of the past which I need not address here. It is for this that the current reorganisation should be appreciated and the insistence that registration is a must for CAs and exams. We are doing many things differently in order to overcome all perceived problems in our processes. It is for the reason that we can no longer wait for the final results that led to the arrangement for the registration of students having to re-run some courses. I advise all having rerun to familiarise themselves with the new template especially the one for administering CAs that has been well advertised. In ending, I want to assure all that this problem will be put behind us in the next few days as we are working with the Departments to overcome the problem. Best wishes. Bayo Okunade
