IN HONOUR OF THE 8 POINTS MARTYR Sembe it was countries like Tunisia or Hong Kong, which cherish and fully utilise there democratic rights, we would have seen people coming out in mass peacefully demonstrating against governments decision not to provide bursaries for over 4,000 vulnerable, needy and deserving students. Manje abena Zambia we have an if it doesnt directly affect me, why should I bother? attitude to matters of national importance. We neglect our civic duties and allow politicians like Kambwili to insult us yet we are the taxpayers who fund his very PF government that feeds him. Since he says it is not governments responsibility to to educate Zambians, then we will also say it is not our responsibility to fill his fat belly. Today a martyr was put to rest. A 19 year young lady who jobbed and propounded and gave it all her best effort to ensure that her dream of a better life herself and her family crystallises through furthering her education. She got 8 points! She was denied a bursury by PF and saw her dream fade into thin air. Her life should not have been lost in vain. Lets join her protest and ensure that the PF take responsibility and prioritise education over bye-elections, bloated cabinets, hefty salaries for constitutional office holders, bloated public service, unnecessary foreign trips and foreign missions and roads to nowhere.
