IN THE CHURCH IS WHERE MANY RECEIVE HEALING, AND HOPE, BUT ALSO A PLACE WHERE WE ARE WOUNDED AND BECOMES HOPELESS....SATAN IS NOT SO MUCH AN ISSUE AS IT IS OTHER BELIEVERS WHOM WE DISAGREE WITH. THE GATES OF HELL WILL NOT PREVAIL FROM THE OUTSIDE, BUT IT IS ALIVE AND WELL ON THE HEARTS OF THOSE WHO LISTEN TO HIM...FRIENDLY FIRE IS THE WORST KIND OF WOUND YOU CAN RECEIVE...Your closest source of pain are not those who dont know you. In fact they are the ones who knew you well. We dont have to worry about people who do not know us. Your greatest pain could be the person that you go church with. He or she fellowships with you...you serve with them on the same team. Here David is saying the same thing. He thought his enemies were the ones who did not know him. He said, FOR IT IS NOT AN ENEMY WHO REPROACHES ME. He could handle that...He could bear that. No, he is not the one who hated me, nor exalted himself against me, because if that was the case, David said, I could hide from him. But IT IS YOU, A MAN OF MY EQUAL, MY COMPANION, AND MY FAMILIAR FRIEND. WE WHO HAD SWEET FELLOWSHIP TOGETHER. WALKED TOGETHER TO THE HOUSE OF GOD, you are the one who is stretching out your hand against me. It has been said that in time of war, the worst kind of causalities, are not the one caused by an opposing enemy, but are the ones who are caused by FRIENDLY FIRES. And it does happens in the church as well. The greatest sense of loss is not cause by Satan, but by believers who has allowed themselves to be a venue for the enemy to work through. David said, these so called equals and friends are SMOOTH TALKERS. Their speeches are smooth like butter, but HIS/HER HEART is at war with you. HIS/HER words are SOFTER THAN OIL, yet they are drawn swords. The greatest burden you face in the church is not the program of the church but hearts of those whom we worship with. There are those time you will face people in your fellowship just like these ones that David talks about. But dont let their attitude toward you burdened your heart. Give the matters to God. Here is Davids advise when you have these people in your circle of fellowship. CAST YOUR BURDEN UPON THE LORD and he will sustain you...HE WILL NEVER ALLOW YOU TO BE SHAKEN. GOD WILL BRING DOWN THOSE WHO HAVE THAT KIND OF HEART. Those who are smooth talkers and those who devise to bring you down, God will bring them down. Do not be burdened with them. BRING THEM TO GOD, AND LET GOD DEAL WITH THEM. You and I focus on keeping our own hearts that we will not become like them to others. Let God sustain you. I have learned in ministry, that I will receive friendly fires, some are intentional and others are not. Some are from the insecurities of others, and some are from bad intentions...This is why we need to learn to BRING ALL YOUR BURDENS TO HIM for God will SUSTAIN you through it all. And through it all we learn to trust in God, who will deal with those who wants to hurt you. Keep your heart clean and trusting in God. Lets do this family! Amen! (Psalms 55:12--14, 20--23)
