#IPC_JOBS Vacancy: Restaurant Manager A new upmarket Restaurant is seeking a suitably qualified candidate to fill in the position of Restaurant Manager- Chinese Cuisine. Position Responsibility • The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for daily operational activities which include inter-alia: ensuring preparation and serving of meals, maintaining high standards of food, customer service and hospitality, etc. Principal Accountabilities • Prepare a variety of foods, with the main focus being on Chinese cuisine • Create a high quality, well balanced, original Chinese food menu that will satisfy customers • Maintaining fast, accurate service, positive guest relations and outstanding customer service. • Meet financial objectives as set and controls operational costs within the set business model • Maintain food, equipment and stock inventories up to date. • Maintains ambience by ensuring excellent quality food ,customer service and satisfaction in all parts of the restaurant • Demonstrate capacity to lead and manage multi-disciplinary staff through high level people management and leadership skills. • Keep up to date with the new Chinese recipes and food preparation techniques • Maintains safe, secure, hygiene and healthy environment by enforcing sanitation standards and complying with legal regulations. Qualifications, Skills and Attributes • Holder of a Diploma or HND in Hotel Management Or Professional Cookery • A professional kitchen apprenticeship or Chef’s training course • 3 years of experience in Chinese speciality cuisine coupled with good culinary skills • A hands on professional who is passionate about Customer Service • Great people and administration skills • Self motivated individual driven by the desire to achieve set goals.
