IS YOUR FEAR OF MAN GREATER THAN YOUR FEAR OF GOD? FEAR(THE FOUR LETTER CURSE WORD) One of the greatest dangers for the believer in Jesus Christ is to allow the “fear of man” become greater than the “fear of God” in his or her life. Why? Because the “fear of man” is demonic to it’s very core. THE FEAR OF MAN BRINGETH A SNARE: BUT WHOSO PUTTETH HIS TRUST IN THE LORD SHALL BE SAFE. (PROVERBS 29:25) You see the Christian is living in a world that is Christ unfriendly, and the devil is well aware of the intimidation factor on this earth. You see Satan is the “god of this world” (2 Corinthians 4:4) and he has plenty of available workers (puppets) that he can use to try to stifle the voice of the Christian. The devil seeks to place the “noose” of the “fear of man” upon the neck of every Christian. If you allow the devil to instill the “fear of man” into your heart, it has the potential to cripple, or completely shut down, your preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Is it not interesting that you can talk about anything with your friends or anywhere else, but if you mention the name of Jesus Christ in a sincere way, there is often silence? And yet if you use the name of Jesus Christ in the same way as you would a four letter curse word, most people would not have a problem with that. Satan has been using the “fear factor” to quiet the voice of the Gospel of Jesus Christ for centuries. If you are a genuine born again Christian, then you know what it is like to live in a family, which was not happy with your conversion to Christ. You may have shared the Gospel with them, often with arguments against you, and your new found faith in Christ and that may continue for years. We can still pray for them, but does the fact that you have become a Christian, mean that everyone in your household is going to get saved? Absolutely not! In fact Jesus Christ said this: WHOSOEVER THEREFORE SHALL CONFESS ME BEFORE MEN, HIM WILL I CONFESS ALSO BEFORE MY FATHER WHICH IS IN HEAVEN. BUT WHOSOEVER SHALL DENY ME BEFORE MEN, HIM WILL I ALSO DENY BEFORE MY FATHER WHICH IS IN HEAVEN. THINK NOT THAT I AM COME TO SEND PEACE ON EARTH: I CAME NOT TO SEND PEACE, BUT A SWORD. FOR I AM COME TO SET A MAN AT VARIANCE AGAINST HIS FATHER, AND THE DAUGHTER AGAINST HER MOTHER, AND THE DAUGHTER IN LAW AGAINST HER MOTHER IN LAW. AND A MAN’S FOES SHALL BE THEY OF HIS OWN HOUSEHOLD. HE THAT LOVETH FATHER OR MOTHER MORE THAN ME IS NOT WORTHY OF ME: AND HE THAT LOVETH SON OR DAUGHTER MORE THAN ME IS NOT WORTHY OF ME. AND HE THAT TAKETH NOT HIS CROSS, AND FOLLOWETH AFTER ME, IS NOT WORTHY OF ME. HE THAT FINDETH HIS LIFE SHALL LOSE IT: AND HE THAT LOSETH HIS LIFE FOR MY SAKE SHALL FIND IT. HE THAT RECEIVETH YOU RECEIVETH ME, AND HE THAT RECEIVETH ME RECEIVETH HIM THAT SENT ME. (MATTHEW 10:32-40) Christian, did you know that the Lord is watching you? Did you know that he is well aware of you and your surroundings, and the people with whom you associate? Did you know that he is well aware of your family members and relatives who do not know him? Christian did you know that you are his ambassador and representative to bring the Gospel to them? (2 CORINTHIANS 5:17-21) THE SWEET, MERCIFUL AND GENTLE JESUS TOLD US ALL THAT HE WOULD CONFESS OUR NAME (YES OUR NAME) BEFORE HIS OWN FATHER IN HEAVEN, WHEN YOU CONFESS HIS NAME BEFORE OTHERS! AND YET HE ALSO SAID THAT HE WOULD DENY OUR NAME (YES OUR NAME) BEFORE HIS OWN FATHER IN HEAVEN , IF WE DENY HIM BEFORE MEN. THAT IS SOME PRETTY HEAVY STUFF THEIR FOLKS, ESPECIALLY IN THIS DAY OF FALSE RELIGIOUS UNITY! DO NOT MISS WHAT THE LORD SAID NEXT. HE TOLD US THAT HE DID NOT COME TO BRING PEACE, BUT A SWORD! WHENEVER CHRIST COMES INTO A HOUSEHOLD, THERE IS A GOOD CHANCE THAT THERE WILL BE A DIVISION IN THAT HOUSEHOLD AS A RESULT! GUESS WHAT! JESUS KNEW THAT, AND TOLD US IN THE PASSAGE ABOVE, THAT THIS WAS GOING TO HAPPEN! THIS SHOULD BE ENCOURAGING NEWS TO YOU, BECAUSE THE LORD IS TELLING THE TRUE CHRISTIAN THAT HE HAS THEIR BACK! THE LORD IS TELLING US THAT HE KNOWS WHAT WE ARE GOING THROUGH WHEN WE ARE WITH UNSAVED FAMILY MEMBERS. YES, YOU MAY LOSE FELLOWSHIP WITH FAMILY MEMBERS, RELATIVES AND FRIENDS BUT THAT IS BETTER THAN LOSING FELLOWSHIP WITH THE LORD FOR ETERNITY IS IT NOT! THE WORST THING THAT YOU CAN BECOME IS A CHRISTIAN CHAMELEON, WHO CHANGES COLORS TO FIT THE BACKGROUND, AND COLOR OF THE SITUATION, INSTEAD OF STANDING UP FOR JESUS CHRIST! THE DEVIL LOVES TO MUZZLE THE GOSPEL, BECAUSE IT IS THE ONLY HOPE FOR THE UNSAVED. THINK ABOUT THIS FOR A MOMENT. IS IT TRUE LOVE TO HOLD BACK THE TRUTH ABOUT THE GOSPEL FROM THE UNSAVED? WHEN WE KNOW THAT OUR FRIENDS, FAMILY AND RELATIVES WILL PERISH IN THEIR SINS, AND GO TO HELL FOR ETERNITY, IS IT TRUE LOVE TO HOLD BACK THAT TRUTH FROM THEM? JESUS CHRIST TOLD US TO FEAR HIM AND NOT TO WORRY ABOUT THOSE WHO TRY TO PUT FEAR INTO OUR HEARTS IF WE STAND FOR THE TRUTH OF THE GOSPEL! WHAT I TELL YOU IN DARKNESS, THAT SPEAK YE IN LIGHT: AND WHAT YE HEAR IN THE EAR, THAT PREACH YE UPON THE HOUSETOPS. AND FEAR NOT THEM WHICH KILL THE BODY, BUT ARE NOT ABLE TO KILL THE SOUL: BUT RATHER FEAR HIM WHICH IS ABLE TO DESTROY BOTH SOUL AND BODY IN HELL. (MATTHEW 10:27-28) This warning applies to every true born again Christian believer, and it especially applies to Christian Pastors who guide their flocks. Hundreds of thousands of Pastors have allowed the “fear of man” to control their preaching, and they have held back the truth from the people. They are able to get over on the people this way for years, (and still get paid for it), because most of the other Pastors are doing the very same thing that they are doing. It is like a religious game that is being played. Satan has intimidated many a Pastor, and has caused them to compromise the true Gospel, for the sake of pleasing man. They know that if they speak the truth, and expose the false gospels, and the false religious systems, their funds will be depleted immediately. They also know that if they speak out, Pastor F and his friends would not be happy with them. Why? Because Pastor F and his friends, work hand in hand with those same people who are preaching falsehood! The sad thing is that they do not realize that Pastor F and his friends, sold out long ago to the devil. The Pastors want to continue to be held in “high esteem” among others who are like Pastor F also. They put on a “false face” of humility, while deep down inside, they love, and thrive on, the praise of men, more than the praise of God, (John 12:43) which can only come when they stand for truth! Their mind is like a high end computer, that can compute, in milliseconds, the consequences of speaking the truth, versus speaking their usual compromise, and they choose to compromise, over and over again! They hold back the warnings, and spare not, their own flocks, because Satan has placed the “noose” of the “fear of man” around their necks, and they do not even realize it. Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men. For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God. Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. (Acts 20:26-29) Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy; (Psalms 33:18) The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death. (Proverbs 14:27)
