IT Support Job Opportunity (Basrah - Iraq) JOB PURPOSE: Maintains, monitoring IT operations / Installation, configuration and IT devises, handle end users HW / SW requests / Establishes, WAN and LAN connectivity. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Monitor, Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, Printers, systems software • Installation network equipment (switches, routers, firewalls, IDS, …) as well as administering both LAN/WAN/internet links and remote access connectivity • Maintains the data backup procedure for end User PC’s, to ensure that all the computer data is secure & available by the weekly and monthly backup and follow-up. Completes departmental assets management, by collect hardware details information, to generate the required reports. • Conduct regular follow up on the operational work flow. Take proactive & corrective actions to smooth day to day operation and secure business. • Adequate understanding business cycle for distribution and finance. • Escalate and communicate user’s problems to HQ. 2rd line of support. COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: A clear understanding about the complexities of the internal (company) and external (marketplace) environments in which the position operates. Internal: IT Application and infrastructure teams & End Users. External: Technical support team (ISP’s, Hardwar, and software) QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS: Bachelors degree in telecommunication or computer engineering/science Knowledge in a support system and network. Knowledge in ERP concepts and terminology.
