Iain Bryson Dundee. Well what a day spent chasing Jim Murphy around Dundee. Jim and his Scottish Labour Shallow Cabinet met this morning in Ardler CC. We tried to find this out earlier but everything was a secret, not according to Jims lackies who told us that it had been advertised on television and local press, unfortunately they didnt say where. We found out that it was to be held in Ardler. Bob Costello Indy Deb and myself drove up and were joined by Amy Black... Bob had banners made that we displayed outside the centre... When Murphy came out he wasnt for conversing with us and bolted for his car... Kazia Dugdale stopped to talk, mostly because Indy Deb was filming her. Jackie Baillie also came past but didnt stop to speak. We got wind that Murphy was at the chamber of commerce building at City quay. We went down and faced him when he left again he refused to speak. We were then told that he was heading back to Ardler and he was going out to meet members of the public. He did indeed go around door knocking but not everything was going to plan for Jim, we demonstrated quite vocally when doors were opened.... Jim didnt get it all his own way as some doors remained shut and others were only opened for a few seconds. We dont agree on his methods, but he did try and try. Back again to Ardler CC where Murphy sat down and talked with Bob Costello, I think that this had more to do with Stv filming than any other thing. All in all a long busy day but we gave them no quarter they were challenged at every moment, there policys were also challenged but there answers were direct from there manifesto. Proud of my fellow demonstrators on what was a long busy day.
