Id like to take a moment to discuss a cause that is important to me and Meg. Its not ALS (though that is a worthy cause) and Im not going to ask anyone to douse themselves with ice water. My friend, Tony Cottone, is a good guy going through a rough time. He beat cancer, but that was only the beginning. Since then, he continues to suffer from full episodic paralysis about 20-30 times per day. Nearly a dozen neurologists have examined him; not one has been able to help identify the cause or offer much in the way of treatment options. The concern is that this paralysis will ultimately impact his heart and diaphragm, which could be deadly. So, Tony is going to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota later this year. If anyone can figure this out, they can. This trip adds an additional financial burden since Tony is unable to work and is awaiting a disability determination. To help out with defraying some of the expenses not covered by insurance, travel, and the like, Tonys aunt and uncle have started Save Tony Cottone. You can watch their short video below. Please help. There are a couple of ways you can make a difference. The first is to donate, of course. You might be skeptical about donating to someone or something on the internet that you dont know well. I get that. But Im telling you, from personal experience, this is real. And every little bit helps so very much. The second thing you can do is share this status. Its public, so there shouldnt be any issue with your friends being able to see it. This option doesnt cost anything (and it doesnt require a very short, very cold bath). Thanks for reading. Please help. Thank you.
