If he didnt want him reaching, then why ask for his license? The - TopicsExpress

If he didnt want him reaching, then why ask for his license? The guy says he just got off from work...his body language was in compliance with the request. My wallet is in the middle console or passenger seat. I have happily blasted my stereo as soon as I dare leaving work, and often pull in exactly like this dude to grab sodas and such. It is feasible in my mind that the man could have been completely oblivious to the officers presence. Its also understandable that the officer would be nervous. However, he could have handled the situation way better! When you go to cop school, dont they warn the soon to be peace officers that anyone can pull a weapon? Either get the guy back into the car, or place yourself in a better point of view while his hands are up non-threatening. This officer needs a review of his certifications, more ride alongs and experience; a vacation, and quite likely medication. I support the good guys in blue. We need them. Then theres the issue of our mid-sized citys police dept.s recent purchase of a military grade mini tank thing.... Scary times these last days.
