Tyndale New Testament in the 1534 edition Easter is used 26 times ........ the Matthews Bible did the same thing the great Bible use Easter 15 times the bishops Bible before the King James used Easter 2 times ... the King James use Easter one time .. when William Tyndale translated the Bible back in the 1500 he coined the phrase Passover there was no such word in the English language he made up the word Passover to translate the Bible accurately into English when you make up a new word it takes a while to learn that word so the word to catch on initially he use the word Passover in the Old Testament he stuck with the word people knew the word Easter in the New Testament overtime the Bible translators started to used his word Passover by the time you got to the King James Bible it uses Passover every time but once the reason why it uses Easter this once its not talking about the day of Passover but the week long feast Luke 22:1 King James Bible Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover. .........
