If you look at the current situation in Israel Palestine, what do you see? You see a very strange kind of “war” going on where one side has missiles and the other has nothing more than their human bodies, and each fights with what it has. In this kind of war you might expect that the side with missiles would quickly and decisively win, and it would, if there was no one left on the planet who cared about the indiscriminate slaughter of men women and children. But there are still many people who care about that, and who abhor it, and the power of that abhorrence, of the rejection of that kind of inhumanity, obviously trumps missiles because, with every missile fired, the Israelis also shoot themselves and bring ever closer the day when they will be forced to back down and, on that day, they will have lost and the Palestinians will have won, but the only thing that Palestinians will win is their freedom.. Now, normally what you would expect would be that a people subjected to such cruelty and suffering would finally have had enough and surrender and agree to whatever terms their opponent demanded, but we see that the Palestinian people do not do that, they continue to resist, to defy Israel and its brutality and occupation by not accepting anything less than their freedom from occupation, and if that means staying in harms way, NOTE not “putting themselves in harms way” but refusing to use the threat of violence to flee from their homes and land, then the Palestinians are willing to do it. The Palestinians are today making the greatest sacrifice of any people on this planet in the war against the psychopaths in power. They are refusing to back down in the face of the worst that the psychopaths can throw at them. Imprisonment, torture, starvation, missiles, they have endured and will continue to endure it all. - Joe Quinn
