If you think some loan companies are extortionate then you will be astounded and I am sure quite surprised when I tell you what a 10k loan from my own parents to buy a house for my family in 1990 has cost me. The capital repaid many times over. Largely responsible for my marriage, home, family and business being lost to me. My sanity for a few years, near bankruptcy for me, my ex wife was declared bankrupt and as a direct result still will not speak to me. People ask me why I got nothing from my marriage, I am now ready to say I had more than my share and have it to bookies, loan sharks, debt collectors et al on behalf of parents who were to embarrassed to let people know the mess they were in, and finally if the cost hasnt already been enough I am excluded from a few measly quid in the will because I borrowed the original 10k 24yrs ago. If hour parents ever help you beware of the cost.
