If you want to know why President Barack Obama offered up his one-year Obamacare “fix,” look no further than the 2014 midterm elections, Sean Hannity said on Thursday. Hannity kicked off his radio show by telling listeners that it’s wrong to call what Obama proposed during his press conference a real “fix.” Instead, it was simply “outright manipulation and propaganda,” he said. “Now, the president, if you noticed, did not say that this was going to be a delay for only a year. He made it seem as though this is a fix, and the media is spinning that this is a fix,” he said. “This is not a fix.” Obama’s insurance fix only comes down to one thing, Hannity said: Politics. “He’s only doing this a year. Why only a year?” Hannity said. “Because he wants to get past the midterms. This fix, if it’s a fix, it’s only the ‘help keep Democrats in power for 2014’ act. It’s not about solving the problem of people not being able to keep their plan.” Obama “looked in the camera, everybody in the eye this morning, and said he’d fix things,” Hannity said. “The only thing he’s fixing is the political landscape so that Democrats will have a little better shot in the 2014 midterm elections,” he told his listeners. “But many of those politicians will be gone anyway because people, I don’t think, are that stupid in spite of the outright manipulation and propaganda that we were fed today.”
