Iggy Azalea “Black Widow” (featuring Rita Ora) ow.ly/AjCI2 [Video Premiere] “The New Classic” era is going to be bigger and better. Iggy Azalea continues her slayage with the promotion of her acclaimed debut, released on April 21, 2014 via Island Def Jam and Virgin EMI Records. After the success achieved with her latest Clueless-inspired single ‘Fancy‘, with the guest vocals of Charli XCX, the Australian rapper has ready the next one and another cool collaboration to conquer our bodies. The rapper confirmed the release of the track “Black Widow” as the next single taken from the album. Thus, the song serves as the fifth official single from this era and impacted U.S. radio in late-June. The track was co-written by Tor Erik Hermansen, Mikkel Storleer Eriksen, Benjamin Levin, Katy Perry and Sarah Hudson Kelly. It has the guest vocals of British singer-songwriter Rita Ora. Ora confirmed the future release during the red carpet on the 2014 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday April 13. She said ‘the video is gonna be great, I loved doing the video with another blonde‘. All ready to the blonde ambition power! “Black Widow” is scheduled to be released on iTunes (UK) on September 14th. The music video directed by Director X and Iggy Azalea, was filmed on July 20 and was premiered in full on August 13th. Showcasing the pairs budding acting skills, the opener sets the scene, Iggy sporting a ‘Big Wanda’s Killer Burgers’ uniform, a waitress bent on revenge against the villain played by Hollywood royalty, Michael Madsen (Kill Bill Vol. 1, Reseviour Dogs). Rita smoulders, putting on her best pokerface opposite a cameo appearance from hip hop mogul, T.I, and Hollywood star Paul Sorvino (Goodfellas, Nixon, Romeo & Juliet)”. Samurai swords are wielded through mid-air acrobatics as the two heroines set hearts racing in skin-tight catsuits; a nod to Uma Thurman’s original Kill Bill costume.
