Ilam-is becoming a leader/headquarters/centre/prestige in many things-Natural beauty, Tea, Cardamom (Alaichi), Aloo (Potato) Amrisho (Broom Grass). Ginger (Aduwa), Milk (Olan), Akabare Khorsani (Round chili), Mandarin orange (Suntala) in Nepal. These things are bringing some benefits to people of Ilam and the eastern region as a whole but only less than 5 percent of its potential. I visit Ilam at least twice a year and share my experiences with farmers and people of Ilam. I learn more than them. Last week I visited some parts of Ilam and witnessed the progress (although slow). Many other districts can and should learn from Ilam for economic progress. In this trip I have taken some photographs of two Tea gardens for those who are interested to see and enjoy the beauty of tea gardens. The summer photos are taken by others I copied from the internet. Enjoy !
