Im Overwhelmed by over 500 birthday wishes that came yesterday via my iPhone . Wow! Several calls from overseas! Im in Revival in Harrodsburg ky with my friend John Lane . They had a cake and sang to me. My son Van and his wife Rose totally surprised me by driving over from Charlotte North Carolina. The Icing on the cake came last night at Doctors Fork Baptist Church with a packed house and 4 people saved! Today, as the birthday greeting continue to come in , I am rejoicing over living Under the open heavens of our loving God who has poured out his blessings upon me without measure for three Quarters of a century! Hallelujah! Glory to his holy majesty! Praise you precious Lord! My parents were Absolutely wonderful -Just the best! My three brothers brought so much love and happiness into my life. The 30 are so delightful human beings With whom I enjoyed my first 12 years of school on Osceola ,Arkansas Were without a doubt the most wonderful classmates in all the world. My Coaches, teammates, teachers, pastors, and the dear hearts and Gentle people in my hometown were gifts from God who loved, Inspired, directed, corrected, encouraged, disciplined. Motivated, and set high Standards for me to follow. Had I a million life times I could never Adequately express my gratitude to all those who have made my life so rich and Fulfilling! Im still in contact with many of my wonderful friends from college and seminary days. The friendships that I have enjoyed in the churches that I have attempted to pastor are so many and Meaningful. I received a phone calls yesterday from a number of people with whom I have enjoyed cherished relationships for over a half century. By the grace of God and in his divine plan I have friends In many countries. I treasure my friends in Africa, Asia, all across Europe, and In Central and South America. Many of my most precious friends have already graduated into that beautiful land called heaven..surely no human being Deserves to have had such a precious wife as my sweet Sue With whom I had the privilege of living for over 50 years, And my four glorious children, their spouses, and my grandchildren and great Grands... Yesterday as I celebrated 75 years I spent some good quality time thanking God for those generous people who have supported my world wide ministry financially... And I praise God for those who faithfully Hold me up before God in regular intercessory prayer! This may Reflect my aging brain, but I find it impossible To accurately count my Vast multitudes of blessings and to Adequately thank the In calculable host of friends To whom I most certainly owe And eternal debt of gratitude. My second blessing wife, Shirley is in La with her Mother who is still Grieving over the recent loss Of her son James. Thank you Shirley for the Solitary red rose, And your precious note of encouragement! I love! I am loved! Truly, I AM BLESSED... And the RACE ant over yet... 100 here I come! And if I FALL short Of the century mark, as most do, ill FALL right slap dab into the arms of Savior Jesus Christ up in Gloryland. Heads, I WIN. Tails, I WIN. !!!
