Im a disabled navy veteran and Im in need of some help with maintenance on my vehicle. Im desperate to have the steering column replaced as the front end shakes when i put on the brakes. Ive spent 350 on 2 occasions w a neighborhood mechanic because thats what i could afford. Him also being a veteran, thought i could put $ back into his pocket. It worked better for a bit, but now its shaking even more & now after i gave it to him to really ck it out, he test drove it to slc and returned it w no power steering. Its a chevy hhr 06 & i put on a bit of miles running from tooele to the va hospital, so i get that it needs the maintenance kept on top of, yet it seems that the longer I go without it getting fixed, more things r going wrong w it. Im taking it to Big O tomorrow as it sounds like the front shock went out, most likely due to the shaking. Im strapped for $ as all i have is my disability $ & its not enough because Quality Chevrolet here in Tooele will not except payments, and the steering column alone is $700. If you can help, pls contact Quality as they have me in their computers. I spent $100 just on diagnosis fee, so all the items r in their computers that need to be done to the car. Im also not asking for a hand out, if you can help me now & would like me to pay it back, pls tell me when you offer your help. Im also going to talk w Quality Chevrolet tomorrow & hopefully they can work w me as a disabled veteran, not looking for a handout but a hand up. Thank you for taking your time to read.
